Scada engineer job

SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) has enrooted itself in our daily lives in every sphere whether is power control, whether control, factories or mass transit control that now it has become integrated part for a secure working environment. With the increasing realm, the scope also widens and that has happen in this filed too.

With the growth in SCADA system, the number of people who are efficient in management of these systems has also increased or in other words, various SCADA engineer job opportunities have sprung up in recent times. SCADA engineer job profile can be divided into many categories based upon the area they are perfect to handle at.

Generally SCADA design engineers never show any concern about the security as well as authentication in the design of SCADA system, its deployment along with currently working SCADA networks.

Thus, many leakages prevail and hackers can take advantage of these loop holes which can lead to leakage of crucial data or huge financial losses. SCADA systems are also employed in nuclear electricity generation and leakage of such data can be a costly affair if it gets into wrong hands. This gives another reason for researchers to call for security enhancement for SCADA communication protocols.

There is no doubt about the fact that SCADA networks are physically secure. Thus, SCADA design engineers never pay any heed to make the transmission secure.

These systems can be seen serving electricity control systems, sewerage control systems and such have been trust which has been entrusted with these systems that now SCADA in the water industry has become inseparable part.

With the deployment of SCADA in the water system the maintenance costs have reduced to great extent along with the time taken to diagnose the fault. The underlying principle of SCADA in the water industry is same as of SCADA systems in general.

There are present remote sensors which collect the data and via a transmission media send the collected data to a central system which carries out the task of management, processing and display of the collected data in human readable format. The data gets displayed at Man Machine Interface, also called MMI. The brain of every SCADA system lies in PLCs which is acronym for Programmable Logic.
